Engagement

We believe as Christians, God has commanded us to be involved in the Great Commission. This means we need to give of our time and talents and become engaged with each other, our community, and our world. We are to also give of our finances to further these endeavors.

Ministry Teams

One of the best ways to build fellowship is to serve together with others. At BTC, the best way to do this is to join a ministry team. You do not have to be a church member to join a team. Whatever your passion is, there is a team for you.

Pregnancy Help Center

We have partnered with the Pregnancy Help Center of the Crossroads in Port Lavaca. This year we participated in the Baby Bottle Boomerang. Members took baby bottle banks home for a few weeks and filled them with change, checks, and currency. These were then returned to the church and turned in to the center. The PHC helps mothers and fathers out with parenting classes and provides services and items.

Christ's Kitchen

Several of our members help out at Christ's Kitchen every week. One group goes on Wednesdays from 9:45-1:00 and another group on  Thursdays at the same time. They help out prepping the food and serving.

Baptist Student Ministry (BSM)

Several times a year, we provide lunch for students at the local BSM. Lunches are provided by local area churches at the Guadalupe Baptist Association building every Tuesday during the college school year for students at University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College who come by to eat. Not only do we provide the meals twice during the year, we have members show up during the meals the rest of the year to just visit and make contact with college students.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

With COVID, our VBS for the past two years was canceled. We look forward to providing this to local children next summer.

Hope Parenting Classes

Starting April 19th we will be hosting 8-week parenting classes through the Pregnancy Help Center of the Crossroads. Classes will meet throughout the day on Tuesdays. These classes will cover topics for parents of children from pregnancy to 36 weeks of age. Parents who attend also have the opportunity to earn free baby items.
